  • Responsibilities

    The Senior Structured Products Analyst will be a member of the portfolio management team that dynamically manages client fixed income portfolios. This position will have a primary focus on the securitized products sector, which is composed of agency residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities (including GNMA/FNMA Project and DUS Loan MBS), private-label CMBS, ABS, REIT, and other Real Estate related debt structures. This position would work closely with our dedicated team and serve as a sector specialist for the firm’s client portfolios and commingled funds.

    Since the firm invests across all sectors, this position would also gain exposure and experience in other asset classes, such as: investment grade and speculative grade corporate bonds, rates and credit derivatives, real estate development finance, mortgage derivatives, municipal bonds, and exchange-traded funds.


    Qualifications

    The successful candidate for this post will possess the following attributes and qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree (required)

    • Graduate degree (MBA/Masters in Real Estate Finance) and/or a CFA charter (level 1 passed; preferred)

    • Minimum of 3 to 10 years of experience with fixed income (real estate debt) investments (required)

    • Professional experience performing research, trading, and developing strategies for securitized products, derivative and repo financing

    • Experience in Real Estate Development, LIHTC/HTC, and familiar with policies related to Multi-Employer plans

    • Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment

    • Excellent communication skills; strong work ethic and leadership

    • Strong statistics and mathematical skills; and proficiency in Excel

    • Experience with Bloomberg, Tradeweb, MarketAxess, and PORT

    Responsibilities

    The Senior Real Estate Debt Analyst will be a member of the portfolio management team that dynamically manages client fixed income portfolios.  This position will have a primary focus on the securitized products sector, which is composed of agency residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities (including the origination of GNMA Construction-related MBS), private-label CMBS, REIT, and other Real Estate related debt structures.  This position would work closely with our dedicated team and serve as a sector specialist for the firm's client portfolios and commingled funds.  Since the firm invests across all sectors, this position would also gain exposure and experience in other asset classes, such as: investment grade and speculative grade corporate bonds, rates and credit derivatives, real estate development finance, mortgage derivatives, municipal bonds, and exchange-traded funds.  


    Qualifications

    The successful candidate for this position will possess the following attributes and qualifications:

    • Advanced Graduate degree (MBA/Masters in Real Estate Finance -preferred);

    • Minimum of 7 to 15 years of experience with construction-related real estate investments; 

    • Professional experience performing research, structuring and developing strategies for real estate-related securitized products financing; 

    • Experience in Real Estate Development, LIHTC/HTC, HUD Lending Underwriting and Mortgage Insurance Programs, Bridge finance (preferred); 

    • Familiar with investment policies related to Union Multi-Employer pension plans; 

    • Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment;

    • Excellent communication skills; strong work ethic and leadership;

    • Strong statistics and mathematical skills; and proficiency in Excel; and  

    • Willing to relocate to Richmond, Virginia.
